about the artist

Every child is an artist.
The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.

Pablo Picasso

Bobby Cook is a self taught artist who was inspired by modern masters such as Van Gogh and Rockwell. But most of all, the artists at Disney Animation. From the character design, coloring, background, and so on. These artists who use their drawings to make stories come to life, inspired Bobby to make art to make others smile or even tell stories of their own.

Bobby grew up in North Florida community that didn't know how to handle an artist. He was quite literally the needle in a haystack there, and was advised that he should put aside his artistic dreams to focus on getting a job that could secure a steady income. After a time, he realized that it was making him terribly depressed, having to suppress the one thing that would bring him joy.

After ten years, he picked up art again by trying the medium that scared him the most, painting. He took to it like an otter takes to water! He also found that his work wasn't only making him happy and inspiring him to try new styles, but it was doing the same for others around him. Bobby inspired others to start their own art journeys and proved what Pablo Picasso famously once said: "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.”
